Tomintoul & Glenlivet Star Party
Dark skies have returned to Tomintoul & Glenlivet, Cairngorms Dark Sky Park making it the perfect time to discover the wonders of the night sky at our exciting new Star Party stargazing event in partnership with Cairngorms Astronomy Group and Glenlivet Estate.
We’ve got a great range of exciting activities and speakers lined up, and are delighted to welcome speakers Dr Rita Tojeiro from University of St Andrews, School of Physics and Astronomy and Pete Sherman Chair of SIGMA – Moray’s Astronomy Club.
We’ll also be joined by Freelance Ranger and Biosphere Dark Sky Ranger Elizabeth Tindal, who’ll show us the wealth of things that can be seen with just the naked eye. As well as telescope observing and talks with Cairngorms Astronomy Group.
Cosmos Planetarium have some great space themed family fun in store at Glenlivet Hall – including 3 great planetarium shows to choose from.
Strathspey Storywalks are leading 2 special Storywalks exploring the night sky as the Gaels, Picts and Vikings saw it.
