Evening Talk: Discover…The Mither Tongue
Tomintoul & Glenlivet Development Trust are pleased to welcome Alistair Heather, from the Elphinstone Institute, University of Aberdeen to Tomintoul & Glenlivet Discovery Centre as part of our evening talks programme.
Join us at the Discovery Centre on Wednesday 24th April, 7 – 8.30 pm to find out more about the arrival of Scots into the wider North-East region, the emergence of a distinct North-East dialect in written Scots during the Jacobite period and the position of the language in the North-East today.
